        The majority of automatic dishwashing detergents in the world include enzymes from DuPont?

        Efficacy —or tough stain removal— is one of the most important features we look for in a dish detergent. Enzymes work by literally eating away at different types of food soils, such as starches, proteins, and fats. That’s why there is no need to pre-rinse your dishes before loading them in the dishwasher.

        We explore untapped possibilities and find a way to make it something truly special. This is how, after decades of research and asking the right questions, DuPont scientists discovered a way to produce PDO—a building block with endlessly versatile potential—using a biological process that would have a global impact:
        The process begins by harvesting crops.
        Sugar, or glucose is extracted from the crops.
        Microorganisms are added to the glucose to begin a fermentation process (similar to the production of alcohol).
        Fermentation replaces chemical synthesis, producing PDO (1,3-propanediol).
        TPA (terephthalic acid) is added to the Bio-PDO, creating a molecular bond.
        The result is Sorona?: a revolutionary, high performance polymer whose positive impact is felt by yarn spinners, manufacturers, designers and consumers across the globe.


        For nearly 30 years we have helped producers of animal protein worldwide improve the nutritional health of animals and get more nutrition from their feed, reducing environmental impact. Today, our team of experts are focused on the symbiosis between nutrition and intestinal health.
